ABOUT
A Bit of Background
We are a long established club with just 34 members to enjoy 3+ miles of double bank fishing on the famous river Dove. There is a significant population of wild brown trout and grayling, and this is supplemented with a careful stocking of brown trout in agreement with the Environment Agency.
We are interested in protecting the natural environment and thus improving the fishing. We have a river bailiff who looks after the river and ensures only club members are on the water.
As a club, we are working closely in implementing recommendations of the Wild Trout Trust, and Environment Agency to the river in conjunction with all river stakeholders. We carry out Riverfly monitoring within the club and have commissioned professional biometric studies. Ensuring that our invertebrate population is protected as a baseline.
